Give Your Wellbeing a Hug Every Day This Month!

Welcome to Project Lily’s Awesome August Hug  – your free 31 days of simple self-care designed to help you reduce stress, build resilience, and support your wellbeing.

Life can be demanding. Whether it’s work, family, finances, health, or the many unexpected challenges that come our way, stress can quickly take its toll. The good news is that looking after your wellbeing doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming.

In the words of the National Institute of Mental Health:

“Self-care means taking the time to do things that help you live well and improve both your physical health and mental health… Even small acts of self-care in your daily life can have a big impact.”

Throughout August, we’ll explore five key areas of self-care that work together to support both your mental and physical wellbeing:

  • Behavioural self-care: small actions and routines that help structure your day and support healthy habits.
  • Physical self-care: looking after your body through rest, nutrition, movement, and sleep.
  • Social self-care: connecting with others in meaningful, supportive ways.
  • Psychological self-care: supporting your emotional wellbeing and reducing stress.
  • Spiritual self-care: connecting with purpose, meaning, or something bigger than yourself.

tIf you’d like to take part, you can choose the version that suits you best.  Download our Awesome August Booklet to learn more about the five areas of self-care, why they matter, and how small daily habits can make a lasting difference to your wellbeing.

Prefer something simpler? Download the Awesome August Calendar on its own and follow one quick self-care activity each day throughout August.

Whether you choose the booklet or just the calendar, we hope you’ll join us in making self-care part of your daily routine this month.

Here’s to a month of small steps, greater resilience, and taking a little time to care for yourself.

Have an Awesome August!
