FREE MENTAL HEALTH TRAINING FOR JEWISH COMMUNAL PROFESSIONALS

With millions devastated by Covid-19, Project Lily’s mental health training has never been needed more. That’s why, in addition to our usual training of organisations, we are now offering Jewish Communal professionals vital free training.

As our Clinical Director, Jonathan Dove puts it:
“The Covid-19 lockdown was an earthquake; we have to respond now to the resulting mental health tsunami. We know that over 80% of adults have experienced symptoms of poor mental health such as continuous low mood, anxiousness, low self-esteem, or hopelessness while in lockdown. These people need our help, and with NHS therapeutic waiting times exceeding 3 months, enabling early interventions makes an enormous difference to people’s lives.”

Jewish communal professionals come into contact with tens of thousands of clients and colleagues every week, many of whom are functioning normally on the outside but inside they’re starting to fall apart.

Our maxim is: “Everyone stumbles sometimes. We’re there so they don’t fall.”

By signing up for one of our robust training courses, you will not only be able to identify and respond to mental health issues you experience yourself but will also become equipped to support many other people who may need your help.

Courses are delivered over Zoom with two options:

Top Line Introduction to Mental Health

A shorter 90 minute course covering:

  • What is mental health
  • Vulnerability and protective factors
  • Stress
  • Incidence of mental health conditions
  • Anxiety and Depression
  • Self-care

In-depth Introduction to Mental Health

A longer 3 hour course covering those shown left in more detail, plus:

  • Generalised Anxiety Disorder
  • Panic
  • PTSD
  • The Care Pathway

We’re Very Proud of Our Training

Here are just some of the reasons we’re so proud of the training we offer:

  • Rather than using generic ‘trainers’, our courses are delivered by our Clinical Director, Jonathan Dove (BSc, MA (Psychotherapy), Registered Member MBACP, Member EMDR UK) a leading and highly respected Mental Health professional with almost 30 years’ experience.

  • Project Lily is a Jewish charity, which means we are sensitive to the many religious and cultural issues that can impact on people’s daily lives.

  • As well as being filled with essential content, the course is engaging, interactive and has consistently received exceptional feedback from past participants. “I’ve taken part in many courses. The Project Lily mental health training stood head and shoulders above all of them. Its content and style of presentation were exactly what we needed – I can already see the impact of the training.” (Course Participant Jan 2020)

  • As well as training individuals, we can also provide courses for organisations. Our training is not ‘one size fits all’. Rather, we consult with each organisation to tailor each course to their needs.
